tiling

• wear correct PPE
• mark out with of area to be tiled and draw plumb lines
• find centre of the width and plumb a line
• find centre of height between topof skirting and bottom of dado rail. Draw a level line.
•  cut a baten the height between top of the skirting and bottom of dado.
• mark the centre of each batten.
• using a tile, work out if your tile is to be fixed centre of tile or centre of grout line. this is determined by which gives you the largest cut .
• mark out on batten the tiles and spaces as required.
